Who we are
Harry's Websites is run by Scott Goodsell in Plymouth, United Kingdom. For the information described here, Scott Goodsell is the "data controller", which means we decide how your information is used. You can contact us at hello@harryswebsites.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the launch list.
- When you confirm your address, the date, the time and the IP address you confirmed from. Our email provider records this.
- Whether you open or click our emails. Our email provider records this too.
- Basic technical details such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider handles to deliver this page and keep it secure.
We don't use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics on this site.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your email address to tell you when Harry's Websites opens and to send you related launch news. We do this with your consent. After you sign up we email you a link to confirm the address is yours, and we only add you to the list once you've clicked it. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.
We handle the technical details above because we have a legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Who handles your information
- MailerLite is our email provider. It stores your email address and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and helps keep it secure.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this page. When the page loads, your browser asks Google for the fonts, so Google receives your IP address.
We don't sell your information and we don't use it for advertising. Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by safeguards such as the UK data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you don't confirm your address, we don't send you launch emails. We review the list from time to time and remove addresses that no longer need to be there.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it or delete it
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it
- ask for it in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
